2013 leaver, Holly launches initiative to celebrate frontline workers

Holly Crocker and her colleagues have launched a brand new initiative called Boxes for Bravery to celebrate our fearless frontline workers!

'Most people would agree that our keyworkers are underpaid and undervalued. They are our unsung heroes who deserve better'

With this in mind, Holly Crocker (2013 leaver) and the team at emc3 have launched a brand new initiative called Boxes for Bravery to celebrate our fearless frontline workers!

They’ve teamed up with some well known brands including Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Hilton, Mandarin Oriental, Candy Kittens and 111SKIN to show enormous gratitude to the people who are putting their lives on the line to keep us all safe.

Every month, they will be sending out boxes full of surprises to keyworkers across the country.

But they need your help to spread the word!

Please nominate a friend, neighbour, family member or colleague who is working on the frontline and they will be in with a chance of winning a luxury box full of treats: www.boxesforbravery.com

The boxes will contain a variety of gifts including luxury skin products, hotel vouchers, hair and makeover vouchers, delicious snacks, accessories and much more!



From delivery drivers, supermarket workers, teacher and refuse collectors, to postal workers, transport staff, emergency services and healthcare staff, Boxes for Bravery is spreading the love to you!

A bit about Holly!

After a wonderful 9 years at St Helen's and thereafter an equally rewarding three years studying Psychology at the University of Birmingham, upon graduating I decided to follow my passion of events and began my career within the Events Management Industry, where I remain today.  I have been lucky enough to work within some of the most inspiring event agencies both local to home in Oxfordshire and now in London at emc3, producing events and experiences for truly wonderful clients.

As many people will know, when the current global pandemic struck, so too came a huge hit to the events industry, almost overnight. As a result, for event agencies and the hospitality industry alike, the furlough scheme came as a very welcomed support and, like many of my colleagues in the industry I was made furlough. Thankfully, I am so fortunate to be a part of the emc3 family where we celebrate kindness and unity as a company and as such, for those of us on furlough, although unable to undertake company work we knew we wanted to maintain our team spirit and unity, and channel that into recognising the tremendous efforts of our keyworkers in one way or another.

For many of us, there were people very close to home working on the frontline who we knew deserved a show of gratitude. For me, it was my sister Bethany (also an old girl of SHSK) working as a frontline doctor in A&E at the Royal Free in London. For others it was a carer for their grandmother, their child’s teacher, or their mum working as a nurse (to name but a few).  

That is when the idea for Boxes for Bravery was born. Throughout the launch of the campaign, we’ve been lucky enough to have the support of our fellow colleagues who are still working hard on business projects, and of course an extremely generous network of brands and suppliers who, like us, want to be a part of saying thanks to the entirety of our key worker force!

Whilst the idea for Boxes for Bravery has been conceived out of the current Covid-19 crisis, we will continue to provide the long overdue recognition to our unsung heroes with this campaign, beyond the return to normality - whenever that may be - and alongside our usual busy day-to-day roles, when they too resume.
