To show our appreciation for your generosity, we invite you to join the Per Severa Society, which was set up to recognise and thank everyone who leaves a gift to the School in their will.
To leave a gift to the School, the information you will need is:
As the School is a registered charity in England and Wales, all UK legacies made to the School are exempt from Inheritance Tax and the value of any gift left in your will is deducted from the value of the estate before it is assessed for Inheritance Tax, reducing tax liability.
In addition, tax legislation in the UK provides for reduction in Inheritance Tax from 40% to 36% where 10% or more of the assessable value of an estate is left to charity. Your solicitor will be able to provide further guidance.
