Contribute to our Covid-19 Collection Archive Project

Students in Years 5–10 and Lower Sixth spent a day of their 'remote St Helen's' timetable, dedicated to creating submissions for a new collection to be housed in the School Archives.

Students were given the opportunity to create pieces of work to reflect their feelings on the current Covid-19 pandemic and their experiences of Remote St Helen’s. Some students chose to write letters to a future student, others opted to document their new study areas during Remote St Helen’s. There were some creative videos submitted as well as music compositions, excellent pieces of artwork and poetry writing.

Contribute to our Covid-19 Collection Archive Project

Following the success of our Archive Day in May, where we were delighted to receive over 700 contributions from students, our Archivist, Georgina Blackmore would now like to extend this project to include submissions from Old Girls and former staff.

For details of how to submit a piece for this new collection please have a look at the suggestions and guidance below.

Ideas for contributions

  • Write a diary entry which details a typical day during lockdown.
  • Paint a picture which you feel relates to the current situation
  • Write a letter to a future student
  • Record a vlog
  • Write a poem
The examples above are just a guide – the wider the variety of content in the collection, the more useful the information will be in the future.
