We are delighted to host a SHSK Society Professional Networking evening for alumnae to engage and socialise in London. The focus of the evening will be careers in government and the public sector, and we are delighted to welcome three alumnae who work in government to join the panel.

Our guest speakers are:

Claire Lawrence (Class of 1997) - Deputy Geopolitical Director in the FCDO - Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office

Most recently, Claire led the work on the Foreign Secretary’s review of Global Impact. From 2015-2019 she served as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Lithuania. She has also served in Brussels, Sierra Leone and China, and had roles covering a range of policy issues in London, particularly with a security focus.

Phoebe Topping (Class of 2010) – Civil Service – Head of European and Americas Humanitarian Response at the Department of Health and Social Care

Annabelle Green (Class of 2015) - Civil Service - Senior Policy Advisor at the Home Office

The format of the evening will be a talk and discussion session, following by a drinks reception with plenty of food and refreshments, providing the opportunity for everyone to socialise and catch up with friends as well as meet other alumnae.
