We are delighted to share the happy news that Mrs Wassel, possibly the longest serving teacher at St Helen’s (Teacher of Biology - 1962 to 1997), got married to Barnabas on 12 May 2026. Having had a blissful 51-year-long marriage with her late husband Lewis, and after a further 14 years of widowhood, Mrs Wassell decided to marry her partner Barnabas.
‘We were ever so pleased that a handful of my former colleagues - and even some students of mine from St Helen and Katherine - were able to join us to celebrate on the day!’, commented Frances on her special day in May.
We send our very best wishes to the happy couple!
