The 7 Reasons: Why being on a board is good for your career - a Professional Networking Event, Friday 8 November, London

Adding a board or committee appointment to your CV is a sure way of drawing attention and validating your capabilities, whilst catapulting your career up the ladder of success. Individuals that join boards - even of very small organisations - are able to use their experience and technical skills to influence an organisation, whilst at the same time gaining exposure to a wide range of issues from the perspective of a director and building confidence, expertise and networks. Join us in London on Friday 8 November to hear more from Fiona and to meet with other likeminded women over complimentary drinks and canapes. Book your place to attend here

Why should I attend this talk?
 The talk is suited to women at various career stages:

  • Those who want to manage their careers strategically and build skills and influence;
  • Those seeking to better understand how being on a board would benefit their career;
  • This event is just as applicable to those who may not be currently working. Perhaps you are taking a career break, seeking a career change, on maternity leave or have other caring responsibilities at this point in your life. Gaining a board position can help you maintain professional contacts and could provide you with the confidence to re-enter the workforce more easily after a significant break.

This event will offer you the chance to meet and share ideas with like-minded women who have a range of experience working across a variety of sectors.
The evening will include plenty of opportunities for you to network over complimentary drinks and canapes.
Our venue for the evening is conveniently placed within London's financial district and is situated close to several tube stations.

All those Old Girls with an interest in the subject matter are welcome to attend this free event.
